“The Artist in his Studio” (2009) is a video documentation and commentary on Alexander Lieberman’s book of the same title.
The commentary was first made in Berlin, at the studio of Mr. Barbarino that Mr. Manetas was visiting. It was made spontaneously but repeated an hour later at the house of Mr. Laric and Ms. Domanovic in the purpose of an artwork for "The Real Thing" exhibition curated by Vvork for MU Eindhoven.
Mr Manetas is filming as he talks, after Mr Laric's advise that this may give the video an edge. Alexander Lieberman’s book belongs to Mr. Barbarino and its a present by his father.
